Am I anonymous?
Yes. When you post a message on Upingme, your identity is shielded by the Magic Number. When people reply to you, they reply to the Magic Number which is used to forward the message to you.
How do I retrieve my password?
You can't retrieve your password, but you can re-set it by texting...
to +41-79-381-6010 where (password_you_want) without the brackets is the new password you want. Use only letters and or numbers and underscores ( '_' ) in the password. Thats not a face, thats an underscore :)
You can only re-set your password if you have attached a mobile number to your account, so make sure that you attach your number as soon as you open your account.
May I do evil on Upingme?
No, please do not. Evil is broadly defined in this way:
This means you may not use this service to threaten or commit violence against another man's person or property. That means no stolen goods, no planning to steal goods, no planning physical harm of any kind against another man's person or property.
You may however, use this service to protect yourself from predation, which is your absolute right, since that is a defensive and not offensive act, as is peaceful assembly of any kind that does not violate another man's person or property.
Any message that does not break this rule is OK.

How do you use my mobile number?
We only use your number for Upingme services and for nothing else. Upingme never sends out messages to its users, other than those that they request from the service, and these come from other users only, except when you request a new password, where we confirm via SMS that we have done that for you.
If you delete any of your messages where you have allowed people to txt you via the service, or set them so that the SMS is 'off' you will not receive any SMS replies from Upingme. If you delete your Upingme account, your number is erased permanently from the Upingme system, along with all of your messages and your replies. You can delete your messages directly from your account with a single click. We will never sell or rent your number to any third party ever.
